Early Arivals
François Rabbath @ University of Maryland, College Park (Optional, $20) - 8:00
For those who don't know, Rabbath is the best classical upright bass player alive. He's also pretty good at jazz and everything else on the upright. This will be an incredible concert and should not be missed.

Tour of local bass shops:
Atomic Music- A music shop that deals mainly in used gear. The selection varies from week to week, but this is a great place to find basses from a wide range of makers. Located on Route 1, about 1 mile south of the hotel.
Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center- The biggest non-chain music store in the area. They typically have a nice supply of new Ken Smith, Peavey, and Fender basses (as well as others). Parking can be difficult, so car pooling is recomended. Located in Wheaton, Md, about 20 minutes from the hotel.
Action Music- This is the store Ace recently started working at. I'll let him sell the store since that's his job. Located in Northern Virginia, about an hour from the hotel.
